When did you start piping? 2006
How did you get your start in piping? I had been wanting to play for years and after hearing the NYPD band play on the pier after the 2005 St. Patrick's Day parade I decided to stop talking about it and finally do it. I talked to members of this band that very evening and joined a few months later.
Who was/were your teacher(s)? HVRPP&D P/M Jim Noble and Brendan Brogan. Thanks to both for your continued help and support.
What make of pipes do you play? Dunbar
Favorite Pipe tune? Still building my repertoire, but to this point Balmoral
Favorite Pipe band? Hudson Valley Regional Police Pipes & Drums
What bands have you played with? Emmit Otters Jugband and the Hudson Valley Regional Police Pipes & Drums
What is your most memorable moment during your piping career? Marching for the first time at the Hunter Mountain Celtic Festival in 2006.
What would your wish be for the band in the next few years? I'd love to see the band grow and see more students. I'd also like to see us play more concerts and stationary jobs throughout the region.
What is the best tip that you can suggest to a new piper? I know you see this on every profile, but it's so true, don't get discouraged, never give up, and practice practice, practice, you'll get there.
